HI! I am an East Coast Native that took a big chance and moved to the Pacific Northwest with my husband, sweet pup named Myah, and two cats, Hannibal and Watson. Now, I’m somewhere in the middle of Illinois, adjusting to a life as a full-time author and designer. I’m pretty much  always found with a pair of sunglasses somewhere on my head as I wasn’t meant for the sun. With a childhood dream to be an author and artist, I published her first novel in November of 2020 and started LOST MARBLES DESIGNS shortly after. Since then, I have found that mental health is a major part of who I am and embraces it within my stories now.

Art and writing have been a part of my life since I could first hold a pencil — with my left hand, no less. A major catalyst for me growing up was the connection I had with my Grandpa. I would sit on the smaller wooden stool next to him and just watch him paint, purely mesmerized. I knew from that moment that my life was going to revolve around art — and it has. 

I began my photography business back in 2010, when it was called Soaring Expressions Photography — my how things have changed since then.  I was just a sophomore in college but photography was everything to me. As time went, I moved into the culinary industry, making my passion for cooking a full-time life. After about ten years, it was time to make a shift to something not so destructive to me and mine. Property Management popped up and, for five years, it gave me the income, flexibility, and more peace of mind that I needed to focus on my true life goal. Being an AUTHOR. Which, let me expand on the rest of my artistic dreams. And here I am, I’m doing it. 

I go by M LEIGH MORHAIME when writing my contemporary romance with some heavy themes and emotional rollercoasters — that always have that “Happy Ever After”.

While I am chaos, my stories revolve around the fierce heroines healing, thriving, finding love, and not shying away from the tough stuff.
